COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization opened in 2019 and is a busy, multi-site outpatient infusion clinic, specializing in using ketamine to treat depression.  Their providers have a patient-centered approach to ensure safe and comfortable experiences for all patients. They are a complement to existing mental healthcare services and view ketamine as one pillar in a larger care plan, relying on continuous dialogue with patients and referring provider partners to define how ketamine plays a role in overall wellness.  They currently boast a staff of 5 physicians and 6 infusion nurses, operating out of 5 convenient locations in New York City.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The physician oversees infusion nurses and works with the support of an office administrator and central staff members.

The overall duties of this position are to provide direct patient care, coordinate continuing care with referring mental health providers, and lead the operations of an exceptional clinical team.

This includes, but is not limited to:

- infusion appointments / infusion management
- in-office administration of ketamine
- oversight of  infusion nurses
- IV placement when needed
- clinical monitoring of patients
- patient education
- treatment plan management
- care coordination
- work with external referral partners

The practice is an all-digital office and uses the IntakeQ EHR.

Many patients are in emotionally vulnerable situations and nervous about infusion treatments.  As such, the practice strives to provide an overall calming environment.  It’s important that the bedside manner of the new physician emulates the desire to calm and soothe patients, while simultaneously reassuring patients of the safe, quality care they’re receiving.

REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- comfort with cardio-respiratory monitoring
- comfort with IV placement
- comfort with infusion management
