- $130,000 to $145,000+ Base Salary, dependent on experience

This compassionate non-profit healthcare organization is dedicated to delivering convenient, high-quality care to patients in a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities and private homes.  They currently boast a team of 12 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who, along with nursing, clinical, and administrative team members, ensure that patients receive the best medical care possible while working diligently to remove access barriers.


POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
The Medical Practice Director of House Calls is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, management, and coordination of home-based primary care and palliative care.  This includes:

- provision of chronic care management
- provision of community health improvement
- delivery of high-quality patient care
- compliance with regulations
- efficient program management
- continuous service improvement
- compliant and timely billing practices
- value-driven care

The Director supports and supervises an interdisciplinary team of care coordinators, schedulers, operations managers, medical assistants, and community support staff.  This includes the daily operations of scheduling, patient flow, productivity, and resource allocation.

The role reports to the Vice President of Care Continuum & Medical Services and works in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer to monitor financial performance.
    
The core duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize efficiency
- recruit, hire, train, and supervise administrative and clinical staff
- develop and manage the budget, ensuring financial sustainability and growth
- assist with improvement plans, managing finances, performance metrics, etc.
- participate in strategic planning and growth programs
- implement quality assurance programs to monitor / improve care and service delivery
- lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure best practices are followed
- address and resolve patient concerns and complaints promptly
- oversee staff education and professional development 

The practice uses the AthenaCare EHR.



REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, relevant field (healthcare administration, business, etc.)
- 3+ years healthcare management experience
- strong background in healthcare regulations, quality assurance, etc.
- expertise in primary care delivery management
- experience in chronic or palliative care preferred, not required
